Klonoa and Mr Driller Join the LineupAs of September 25, members of the service will be able to play Klonoa: Empire of Dreams and Mr Driller 2. Klonoa: Empire of Dreams, the fourth game in the beloved platforming-adventure franchise, offers 2D side-scrolling gameplay and a narrative separate from the main console titles. Mr Driller 2 features colourful puzzle action, multiple single-player modes, and a competitive 2-player experience.
While neither title was a major hit with fans, each has built a following over the years. Their launch on Nintendo Switch Online invites both new and former fans to enjoy these retro classics.
Expanding the Nintendo Classics Library
Nintendo Switch Online has steadily added to its library of retro games, including NES and SNES games and most recently, Nintendo 64 titles. The Game Boy Advance library is the latest focus, offering a mix of those well known hits and games that didn't receive their due appreciation in their own era.
This announcement came just last week after Nintendo confirmed that Virtual Boy games would be added to their library on the online service starting in 2026, but it surprised fans with their commitment to gaming preservation work. As the additions continue to flow, players are clearly looking forward to whatever other retro games will find a home on the service moving forward.
