GO Tour 2026: Los Angeles & TainanThe Pokémon GO Tour 2026 will take place in Los Angeles, USA, and Tainan, Taiwan, which is the oldest city in that country, from February 20 to 22, 2026. Los Angeles has hosted multiple other Pokémon GO gatherings in the past, while Tainan will host the event for the first time.
Almost all players worldwide will also have a global event from February 28 to March 1, 2026. So even if someone were not able to attend the physical event, they still will be part of the fun.
Building Upon the Other Past Tours
The GO Tour began with the Kanto GO Tour event, featuring all 151 Pokémon in their shiny forms. Legendary raids featured Articuno, Moltres, Zapdos, and Mewtwo for trainers to try to capture at the Kanto gathering.
Many events have since moved through other regions, including a Hoenn GO Tour last year, and most recently, we just had a Unova GO Tour for 2025, it was held in New Taipei City in Taiwan and Los Angeles.
Trainers were able to gain access to encounters featuring a Gen 5 starter with the use of special passes from the day and trainer versus trainer against tornadoes, landurs, for Thunderous is their incarnation. For that event, both Pokémon Black and White kyurons hosted all shinies melitis.
What is Next for Trainer
Though nothing yet has been officially confirmed about what Pokémon will be featured for the Pokémon GO Tour 2026, or bonuses announced, it is now October, and it will be weeks until Niantic shares a lot more details in the months ahead, players will see other highlights of the Global Tour.
This will specifically include their first time release of Pokémon Mega Camerupt on Sep 28, as well as the release of other mega from their October event Mega Metagros.
