Bonus Weapons for the DedicatedPlayers with save data from Tears of the Kingdom will receive the High Guard's Sword in Age of Imprisonment, while players with save data from Age of Calamity will receive the High Guard's Claymore. Players will be allowed to redeem the weapons in-game after completing the mission titled The Howling Tempest and returning to the game map of Hyrule.
Age of Imprisonment will act as a game building on both Tears of the Kingdom and Age of Calamity to expand on Zelda and assist in filling out Zelda's narrative for her time in the Elder Age. All of these weapons, as well as others, are imbued in the action and combat of the gameplay style of Age of Imprisonment as it harkens back to the lore, paying homage to previous Hyrule Warriors games.
Building Off of Zelda's Success
The Hyrule Warriors franchise has been successful for both Nintendo and Koei Tecmo, providing engaging, entertaining, fast-paced action and combat gameplay associated with the franchise, while utilising the world of the Legend of Zelda. Hyrule Warriors initially launched on the Wii U before later being developed on the Nintendo 3DS and the Nintendo Switch platform. The sequel, Age of Calamity, has sold over four million copies worldwide.
Now, with the successful launch of the Nintendo Switch 2, Age of Imprisonment is even more anticipated. Following several exciting Zelda games, including the recent flagship Zelda titles for Nintendo, Age of Imprisonment will be launched just after Tears of the Kingdom (2023) and before Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom (2024). Age of Imprisonment will be released on November 6, 2025, another unique inclusion contributing to the amazing collection of experiences in one of the best franchises in gaming.
