Nearly eight years after its original release, the game is set to receive a significant update that will transform it into a paid title. The developer confirmed in an official community post that, due to everything included in the new edition, the game will be transitioning away from its free model entirely.
Anyone who adds the game to their library before this change goes live will be able to keep playing it without paying, though it's still unclear whether existing players will also receive the new edition at no extra cost. No exact release date has been given yet, but the developer has indicated the update is only a few weeks away, meaning the free window won't last much longer.
Reviews for the game remain relatively limited, but the feedback so far has generally been positive. The upcoming update reportedly addresses several issues players have pointed out over the years, which could help improve its overall reception. One of the more notable additions is a new Endurance Mode, where players face increasingly difficult waves of enemies and aim to rack up the highest possible score, a feature that could give the game strong replay value despite its small scale.

Two titles have offers ending on September 23, while another wraps up on September 21.
