Gearbox Software has utilized its SHiFT rewards program since Borderlands 2 in 2012, providing players with codes to redeem for cosmetics, loot, and golden keys.

Golden keys are valuable for unlocking golden chests that yield rare items. Borderlands 4 has conducted a new community challenge, resulting in the additional reward for the vault hunter Rafa: the Savings Savior skin.

SHiFT Code Information for Rafa's New Skin
The Savings Savior skin can be redeemed with the code “TZXT3-XJXCB-CXBJW-BTTJT-9SK6B” through the in-game SHiFT menu or through the SHiFT website at any time before December 31, 2030. The code has been issued since users surpassed the minimum challenge goal of 20 million seconds while using Rafa.

The users completed the journey successfully with a total of 23.4 million from September 26 to September 28.
The skin is based on Rafa's "YOLT" introduction video and features branding from his previous employer, Tediore, located across the back of the outfit.

To get this reward, users only need to make sure they have a linked SHiFT account to whichever game platform they are using.

Rafa's Background and Future Vult Hunter Additions
Rafa's Savings Savior outfit is hinting at his military history, with a rugged design and blood stains symbolizing dark times from his past. This rugged style will likely attract even users who rarely use Rafa, making him more recognizable and different while playing Borderlands 4.

While players are enjoying their time with Rafa and his skins, there is a buildup to C4SH, the next vault hunter that will be available as part of the upcoming paid DLC. C4SH has officially been revealed at the Tokyo Game Show as part of a paid expansion titled Mad Ellie and the Vault of the Damned, which is set for release in Q1 2026.

The original payment expansion was confirmed to add two additional playable vault hunters, transforming the current route of the vault hunters from Borderlands 4. Players are waiting to see if the addition of new playable vault hunters will change the popularity of the existing vault hunters in Borderlands 4.
