12 Unannounced Fatal Fury City of the Wolves Characters Leaked

In the detailed datamine performed for Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves, there are references to 12 unreleased fighters that were found in version 2.0.1 of the game, which was created on April 25. According to this datamine, all 12 character IDs (PL038 until PL049) were found by Reddit user Cednym, and they also theorized through their analysis of these IDs and build versions that SNK intends to create at least five or more seasons of paid downloadable content (DLC) after the formal release of this title of the 12 fighters found, only two of them appear to be identified through an ID reference, with PL047 appearing to refer to Mr. Karate, and PL036 referring to Kenshiro from the Fist of the North Star manga and anime. None of the other ten fighters is identified by name in the datamine, and their release order may change.

Links to Prior Leaks and Confirmed Characters
The 12 characters identified in this datamine are further evidence of the two other datamines completed in February and May 2025, during which time they also identified several character IDs that have since been verified as being in this game, the latest of which is Krauser.

They are also examples of previously identified characters in these two earlier datamines, such as Duck King, Blue Mary, and Ryo Sakazaki, and three of these characters appear in this current 12-fighter grouping. The datamine does not specify who will occupy the remaining ten positions or the timeframes in which to expect the commencement of seasons to launch, but if all of these fighters were to become part of each season, the date would mean that SNK plans to provide additional DLC content until 2029. This would correlate with the same DLC path that Street Fighter 6 is currently on.

Furthermore, since Ken from Street Fighter has been previously added to Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves prior to the first paid season within the past year, it appears that both games have another link to each other.

Major Price Reduction Provides Further Evidence of Long-Term Plan
Following the release of the datamined characters, SNK permanently reduced from $59.99 to $19.99 the base price of Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves on the occasion of the one-year anniversary of this game's release.

As it relates to prices, this large price cut will create an increased player base so that there will be sufficient numbers for SNK to pursue paid DLC material long-term, which supports this developer's intention to create long-term paid DLC material after the release of the recently programmed second season. Other than confirming the launch of the second season, SNK has not committed to any additional paid DLC related to Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves.
