What Is Coming and When
Game Pass remains one of gaming's best deals, giving players a rotating library they can dip into at any time, with fresh additions every week. Some games even arrive on day one, which removes the cost barrier for those particular titles.

The new wave starts on October 8 with a triple drop: Echo Weaver, Forever Ago and Neon Abyss 2. Next up on October 13 are Battlefield 6, Deep Dish Dungeon and Valor Mortis. Bluey's Happy Snaps and Chained Beasts follow on October 15, and Beyond These Stars rounds things off on October 16. It's a varied mix, so fans of different genres should find something to enjoy over the coming week.

The Games Worth Watching
Battlefield 6 is clearly the headline act. Battlefield Studios' latest entry in the long-running FPS series is finally reaching Game Pass just over a year after its original launch. It isn't the only one to watch, though. Valor Mortis stands out as a first-person soulslike that promises something fresh for the genre. Neon Abyss 2 also earned excellent reviews when it launched last year, making it another strong pickup for October 2026.

A Strong Month With Some Losses
The month was already looking good before this announcement, thanks to Gears of War: E-Day. It's the first entry in the series in seven years, and as a first-party game, it arrived on Game Pass on day one.

Not everything is good news, though. On October 15, nine games will leave the service, including A Plague Tale: Requiem and Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. Losing those two stings, but Microsoft is keeping new arrivals coming to soften the blow.
