Legendary Trio Takes the SpotlightIt had already been speculated that the next expansion would feature the Sacred Legends Trio: Suicune, Entei, and Raikou. Slightly older promotional art also featured Suicune front and centre as a possible hint to its leading role in the set. Now, more of the respective card details also reveal that all three of these Legendary Beasts will contain draw effects on the cards, though slightly varying translations are still unsure if such effects are activated on the Bench or even just when it's in on the Active Slot. These cards may well be staples in competitive decks if they work from the Bench.
More Cards Revealed
The Secluded Springs expansion will also feature the iconic pair of Latios and Latias, which are anything but ordinary Pokémon cards and help each other out when on the field together. A new Supporter card (rumoured to be called Travelling Merchant) lets you search your deck for a Pokemon Tool card and put it into your hand. New additions include Mantyke, a baby of sorts, that acts as if it's helping water-based decks by generating water energy and is attached to Water-based Basic Pokemon.
Official Trailer Expected Soon
The leaked cards emerged via an early release of the expansion's teaser trailer, accidentally posted on the official Korean Pokemon channel and then promptly taken down again. The video showed 12 cards from the A4a miniset, although we're not sure about the translations of their abilities. A press release for the Sword and Shield that will feature the Secluded Springs trailer for Japanese fans is reportedly also expected to be publicised on either August 22 or 23, which will provide a better look at what fans across the world can expect with the new booster packs.
