Pokemon GO Announces Community Day Dates for Next Season

Community Day events have always played an important role in every Pokemon GO season. The Community Day events are limited-time events that focus on one specific featured Pokemon; these events usually provide players with increased spawn rates for that Pokemon, plus a greater chance of encountering that Pokemon in its shiny variant. For this reason Community Days are very popular with both casual and regular players of the game.

To date, there has been one Community Day and one Community Day Classic scheduled for 2026; with the Community Day schedule announcement confirming additional Community Days scheduled for the 2026 Season! Community Day Dates for 2026 have been Announced by Game Developer Scopely immediately preceding the start of Pokemon GO's Next Season, March 14, March 11, and March 9 2026, were previously confirmed by Game Developer Scopely on their website. In addition to the three Community Days mentioned, Scopely is also going to offer trainers a chance to revisit a past Community Day they might have missed out on during Community Day Classic on May 16, 2026.

While we know that the dates for the above events are final, Scopely has yet to announce which Pokémon will be featured during these events. Therefore, players will have to wait for future updates before knowing exactly what they can expect when it comes to the trainers in their communities. Typically, Pokémon announced that would be featured at each event would be released closer to when the event will occur. This will help create excitement for trainers while at the same time giving them ample time to prepare their teams and resources.

New Pokémon GO Events Are Coming Up This Coming Season
In addition to the Community Days, Scopely has also released details on other significant Pokémon GO events that are scheduled for the upcoming season. The season kicks off on March 7-9 with a special seasonal event that will run over the Saturday to Monday timeframe. After that is Research Day, occurring on March 21, and Max Battle Day, occurring on March 28.

April is shaping up to be an active month for trainers as well, with Raid Day on April 4, Hatch Day on April 18, and another Max Battle Day on April 25. Lastly, trainers will have a chance to participate in Shadow Raid Day on May 2 and Raid Day on May 23.

These two date specifics are currently the only announcements by Scopely; however, it is very possible that other events will be announced as the season progresses, as Pokémon GO has been known for adding new and exciting events, limited-time bonuses, and special activities too.

The Pokémon GO Events Already Held for 2026
With 2026 only getting started, it has already been a very active year with Pokémon GO. Community Day Classic featuring Piplup took place on January 4, allowing trainers an opportunity to catch an increased number of Water-type Pokémon. Following the Classic, the first standard Community Day of the year for trainers occurred on January 18 and featured Grookey, giving trainers access to large quantities of that particular Pokémon.

Besides the standard Community Days, Pokémon GO has hosted several long-duration events this year. The High Zaptitude event, just finished last week, was designed to raise the rates of encountering a Shiny Tadbulb. The next two events will take place at the end of January 2026, including Precious Pals, which is scheduled to start on January 20 and should include shiny Fidough, and Into the Depths, which begins on January 27 and will include the Gen 9 Pokémon Glimmet.

Although Pokémon GO has just begun 2026, players already have an eventful calendar ahead of them. With many new Gen 9 Pokémon still to be released and a strong possibility that Gen 10 will also be introduced in 2026, there are many opportunities for new content. Community Day and seasonal events will also provide many opportunities for trainers to catch many Pokémon they would like to have on their collections.
