Persona 6 Teaser Trailer Released. ATLUS has released the official teaser trailer for Persona 6 during the Xbox Games Showcase, confirming for the first time that the next mainline entry in the beloved role-playing game franchise is in development. The teaser didn't give away much in terms of details, but the official summary did confirm that Persona 6 will have an entirely new story and cast of characters, in line with the series' tradition of standalone stories set in its unique universe. Notably, the trailer has a decidedly horror-themed tone, suggesting that Persona 6 could take the series in a darker and more unsettling direction than some of its forebears.
No release date was revealed along with the teaser. Persona 6 will be available on Xbox Series X and S, and Xbox on PC, and will be available from day one via Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass. The game is also part of the Xbox Play Anywhere program. Wishlisting for PlayStation 5 and Steam will be available at a later date.
Persona 4 Revival Official Release Date Announced
ATLUS also announced that Persona 4 Revival, the highly anticipated remake of the beloved 2008 role-playing game, will be released on February 18, 2027, along with the Persona 6 reveal. The game is available for pre-order today on Xbox Series X and S and Xbox on PC, with Steam and PlayStation 5 pre-orders going live tomorrow. A pre-order trailer has been released, giving players a glimpse of what to expect from the remake. Fans who want to know more about Persona 4 Revival will not have to wait long, as ATLUS West's YouTube channel will host a dedicated livestream on June 18 at 4 in the afternoon Pacific Time, or 7 in the evening Eastern Time, with more details from producer Kazuhisa Wada about what the remake will add to the classic title.
Big Moment For The Persona Franchise
These two announcements are arguably the biggest moments for the Persona franchise in years. Persona 4 is considered one of the best role-playing games of all time, and the Revival remake has been one of the most wanted projects in the history of the franchise. The simultaneous confirmation of the existence of Persona 6 makes things even more exciting, as fans have not only a concrete release date to look forward to in the near term, but a glimpse of what the future holds for the series beyond the remake. Combined, the two announcements suggest that ATLUS has big plans for the Persona franchise in the next several years, and that the series continues to be one of the most compelling and creatively unique in the role-playing game space.
