Details on the release date and storyWith the release date of August 6, 2026 revealed in the two-and-a-half-minute long trailer, the beginning of the video sets up the tone for the game by showing the remains of Deathbird and Gladiator after the destruction of their planet Chandilar and then transitioning to the new home of the characters in the game, Earth, which has suddenly been engulfed by a large purple storm-cloud indicating that the game will be set in the aftermath of this event.

In Episode Mode players work cooperatively with both Arc System Works and the Marvel Games team to create a unique blend of American comic book storytelling and Japanese manga style that will include motion comics created by acclaimed comic book artists to tell the story. In addition, Episode Mode will feature a compelling story written by one of the most renowned comic book writers of the original Marvel comics.New information about the game recently emerged from an update of its Steam page.
While not a full feature list, it did confirm some of the aspects of Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls that fans have been waiting for. The launch roster will consist of 20 heroes, feature online lobbies of 64 players, and all players will have to sign-up for a PSN account in order to play on PC. The page also detailed the single-player experience which focuses on exploring the various teams in the game.
Unbreakable X-Men Will Fight Together
The most recent trailer reveals the first full team in the game, the Unbreakable X-Men. In previous reveals, Storm was shown, but in the new trailer she is joined by Wolverine, Magik and Danger. While Storm, Wolverine and Magik are all known to Marvel fans from game and media appearances, Danger is a new addition to the group.
Danger is not a traditional character. She is the physical manifestation of the Danger Room, where the X-Men train at the Xavier Institute. Danger was introduced in 2005's Astonishing X-Men (Vol 3) comic book series, and was made aware of her own sentience because of Shi'ar technology.
The trailer included shots of the heroes' super powers and ultimate abilities, as well as a visually stunning team-up attack combining the four characters. The team dynamics within the Unbreakable X-Men appear to be a major aspect of Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls.
