Football Manager 27 Is Free on Steam Until November 3

Steam's Free Weekend Promotion has just one game this time, and it is an unusual pick. Football Manager 27 is a brand-new 2026 release that doesn't officially launch until November 10, so players get complete access to it ahead of launch.

How the Free Weekend Works

A Free Weekend makes a game playable at no cost until a set time, which here is November 3 at 10 am PT/1 pm ET. After that, access ends. The good news is that the game will carry a launch discount after the preview, running through its November 10 release date.

Unlike a traditional demo, the Launch Preview offers the complete experience, although some bugs and missing assets may still turn up. Players can also carry their progress over into the full release without starting again.

What Football Manager 27 Offers

Football Manager 27 is the latest entry in the long-running soccer management series from Sports Interactive and SEGA. Players take charge of a club and try to build a championship-winning team, handling everything from signing players and developing talent to making match-changing decisions. The new installment adds an improved Tactical Effectiveness system, more chances to adjust strategy during games, enhanced stadiums and crowds, and better player animations.

Another Freebie Until October 31

Football Manager won't suit everyone, but it isn't the only free PC game on Steam right now. A Free-to-Keep Promotion lets players download a game and own it forever, as long as they claim it before the deadline. This one is for a 2018 game with Overwhelmingly Positive reviews and runs until October 31 at 10 am PT/1 pm ET.

The game is Hexologic, a relaxing puzzle title from indie developer MythicOwl that puts a fresh spin on Sudoku. Players place dots inside hexagonal tiles so their combined values match the numbers along the edges of each grid. The idea is easy to grasp, but new mechanics and trickier puzzles are introduced gradually. It has more than 90 levels across 6 distinct worlds, each with its own mechanics, colorful visuals and relaxing music. Steam users love it, with 96% of its 700 reviews positive.
