Attack on Titan 3 Officially Launches December 10, 2026

The long wait for a new Attack on Titan game is finally over. Publisher Koei Tecmo has finally announced a solid release date for Attack on Titan 3, after years of no news. The game is set for release on December 10, 2026. It will be released for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and S, Nintendo Switch 2 and PC, with physical and digital editions planned for console platforms. This is a big comeback to gaming for a franchise that's been out of the mainstream since Attack on Titan 2 was the last mainline adaptation eight years ago, concluding its manga in 2021 and ending its anime in 2023.

Attack on Titan 3 Officially Launches December 10, 2026

Attack on Titan 3 is once again developed by Omega Force and adapts the entire story of the anime from start to finish. It's the first time players can experience the entire arc of the anime in an interactive form. Players will build their own character for the Scout Regiment and fight alongside familiar faces from the series including Eren Yeager, Mikasa Ackerman, Armin Arlert and Levi Ackerman. At the core of the experience is the signature ODM gear combat that defined the previous games.

What Players Can Expect From the Game
Beyond the high-speed aerial combat the franchise is known for, Attack on Titan 3 introduces a social dimension that adds a new layer to the experience. Players will be able to build relationships with characters through conversations, gift-giving, and other interactions, giving the game more depth beyond its action-focused core. It is a meaningful addition for fans who have followed these characters closely across the manga and anime and want to engage with them in a more personal way within the game's world.

Koei Tecmo has confirmed multiple editions of the game to suit different types of buyers. A SteelBook Launch Edition will be available physically, while the Digital Deluxe Edition includes a digital art book, a character customisation pack, an original equipment pack, a starter item pack, and 72 hours of early access ahead of the standard launch date. Players who have save data from Attack on Titan 2 or Attack on Titan 2: Final Battle on the same platform will also receive bonus content in the new game, though Koei Tecmo has noted that full details on those rewards will be shared at a later date.

A Free Post-Launch Update and What Comes After December 10
The December 10 launch is not the end of what Koei Tecmo has planned for the game. An original opening animation produced by MAPPA and directed by anime action director Arifumi Imai will be added to Attack on Titan 3 through a free post-launch update. MAPPA's involvement is significant given the studio's role in producing the final seasons of the anime, and having them contribute an original piece specifically for the game adds considerable value to what is already a substantial package.

For fans who have been waiting since the anime concluded for a game that captures the complete Attack on Titan story in one place, December 10 represents exactly that opportunity. Koei Tecmo is clearly positioning Attack on Titan 3 as the most comprehensive and ambitious game adaptation the franchise has ever received, and with a release date now locked in and multiple editions confirmed, the final months of 2026 are shaping up to be a significant moment for fans of one of anime and manga's most impactful series of the past decade.
