Analysts Predict Battlefield 6 First-Week Sales

Analysts have made their estimates for how many copies of Battlefield 6 will be sold during the first week of sales. So far, the game appears to have had a successful launch. The public beta drew in half a million players on Steam the day it launched, and as of August 21, players have played more than 420 million matches, which is more than any previous title in the Battlefield series.

While this is a successful launch, it is also a long way from reaching EA's goal of 100 million players. Analysts have looked at trending and pre-order numbers to determine estimated sales.

Sales and players estimated
Analyst group Ampere estimates that Battlefield 6 has received 1.7 million pre-orders on Steam. They expect around 5 million sold in its first week of launch as well. Reportedly, the beta pulled 22 million players. This indicates that there are likely fewer than a quarter of people who will buy the game upon its launch.

The sales for the first week will be dependent on whether players are interested after its release, if reviews are positive, and if other games released that same week pull interest. Because many gamers will wait for others to play the game before purchasing, it could impact the sales numbers.

Limitations and comparisons
Some factors could minimise the reach early on Battlefield 6. The game will not be available on Game Pass like Call of Duty, and the EA Play **pass**, which will give it access or rather be **accessible** to the two previous generations of consoles, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. These two things could ultimately slow down their sales for the launch.

To offer a comparison, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, which boasted 22 million players in 2023, had 20.6 million in 2025. So, it will be interesting to see if Battlefield 6 will be able to do the same as these games were, and work toward 100 million players.
