Record Low Price and Limited Time SaleAs part of Steam's ongoing promotion, Baldur's Gate 3 is being sold at 25% off, down from the normal sale price of $59.99. While this is only a 25% discount from its regular price, this is now the lowest price of any sale so far for the game, as the previous lowest price was $47.99 (or a 20% discount) at the Christmas sale. This deal is active until September 8, 2023, at 10 AM PT.
This price drop follows almost two months without a price drop, which is, so far, the longest period without a price drop since the beginning of 2023. Before this two-month period, the game has received a 20% discount almost every month since November 2022. Now is the best time to buy the RPG for the cheapest price ever on Valve's platform.
Will This Ever End?
Baldur's Gate 3 has spent the last two years being one of the most played games on Steam, with almost 100,000 concurrent players every month. Even though the game has remained popular for such a long period, and has reached some key milestones that are indicated by the number of awards that Baldur's Gate 3 has received.
This includes winning many 'saw' over 30 awards, along with the 'Game of the Year' award from The Game Awards 2023.
While 25% may not seem like much compared to discounts during other large Steam sales, the nature of sustained popularity and the size of the player base make this offer worth investigating.
Meanwhile, Larian Studios is already thinking about the next project. Around April, Studio founder and CEO Swen Vincke revealed the Studio is working on two new projects, one of which he said was “crazy ambitious” and progressing “quite well.”
While there is no confirmation, we know there are two projects coming from the beloved studio, and everyone is anxiously awaiting what comes from them next.
