Capcom's presence raises expectations
Summer Game Fest organizer Geoff Keighley has confirmed that Capcom will be a part of this event. Although Capcom has not yet revealed what they will show, there is speculation on social media that something special related to Resident Evil may come out this time.

This time the Future Games Show segment is going to be hosted by Laura Bailey and Matthew Mercer. Interestingly, both of them have previously played important roles in Resident Evil 6. Fans believe that their presence may not be a coincidence, but a hint.
Resident Evil 9 date and leaks in discussion
If reports are to be believed, the trailer of Resident Evil 9 can be shown on June 6, 2025, during the Summer Game Fest. The possible release of the game can be in the first quarter of 2026.
