Game-Breaking Bug Leads to Removal
Season 25 began on May 6 and introduced new updates, including the arrival of Sparrow—the first new Legend since Alter debuted in Season 21. The season also brought back Arenas as a limited-time mode and featured several balance adjustments across characters and weapons to keep gameplay dynamic. However, some issues have arisen since the update's launch, including a critical flaw with Revenant's Ultimate, Forged Shadows. By following a certain method, players could become invincible while using it.
Due to the severity of the bug, the developers have decided to disable Revenant temporarily. He has been removed from the Legend Locker, and his icon no longer appears under the Skirmisher category. The glitch is believed to affect multiple modes like Arenas and Mixtape, which prompted a broader removal. While a fix is underway, no official date has been announced for his return.
Exploit Spreads and Player Frustrations Grow
Clips of the exploit have circulated widely online, showing how the bug could be activated by using a grenade shortly after triggering Revenant's Ultimate. This resulted in invincibility during shadow form, allowing players to take unlimited damage and push enemy squads without any threat of elimination. This flaw became especially problematic in Ranked matches, leading to widespread frustration among players.
This isn't the first issue this season. A prior bug involving the new Legend Sparrow caused game crashes when his Stinger Bolt was used on a Mirage Ultimate. That issue has reportedly been patched, but other problems continue to be reported.
Fans hope that Revenant will be back in the game soon. His unique abilities have made him a favorite for many, and while Apex Legends offers a wide variety of Legends, his absence is noticeable for those who enjoy his aggressive playstyle.
