The timing makes sense. Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls requires at least a PS Plus Essential subscription to play online, which means the overwhelming majority of players picking up the game on PS5 will already be eligible for the bonus without needing to do anything additional to qualify. It is a small but thoughtful addition for anyone planning to jump into the new fighting game on launch day.
What the Free Pack Includes
The Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls PlayStation Plus Pack contains two distinct sets of content. The first is a collection of five in-game avatars representing Captain America, Storm, Spider-Man, Doctor Doom, and Ghost Rider. The second is a set of Result Screen Character Poses featuring 20 characters from the game's roster, including Spider-Man, Ms. Marvel, Star-Lord, Peni Parker, and more. While neither set fundamentally changes how the game is played, cosmetic additions like these add personality to a player's experience and give subscribers a little something extra from day one without any additional cost.
Claiming the pack is straightforward. It will be accessible through the PlayStation Plus section of the PlayStation Store, where subscribers can find it, redeem it, and download its contents directly. Once downloaded, the avatars will appear in the Avatar section of the player's profile, and the Result Screen Poses will be available immediately in-game without any additional steps.
The Bigger PS Plus Picture for July and August
The Marvel Tokon bonus arrives during a particularly active stretch for PlayStation Plus. Extra and Premium subscribers can currently claim a fresh wave of July 2026 catalog additions including Dying Light, Snow Bros. Wonderland, Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector, and Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. Essential subscribers and above will also gain access to a new set of monthly free games on August 4, including Dying Light 2 Stay Human: Reloaded Edition, Big Walk, and Signalis. With the Marvel Tokon bonus pack arriving just two days later on August 6, the first week of August gives subscribers across all tiers a meaningful amount of new content to work through.
Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls is also setting up a strong post-launch content pipeline beyond the launch pack. Phoenix Cyclops has already been confirmed as the first Year 1 DLC character, arriving in fall 2026, suggesting the game intends to maintain momentum well beyond its initial release. For PS Plus subscribers who enjoy fighting games and Marvel characters, August 6 is worth marking on the calendar both for the game itself and for the free bonus that comes with it.
