Gigantamax Pikachu can be found during such events as a rare Pokémon appearing in six-star Max Raid Battles and has the chance of appearing in a shiny variant.Since Gigantamax form's debut, Pikachu's Gigantamax form has gained wide popularity among fans due to its likeness to Pikachu's chubbier design in early Game Boy games.
All currently available Gigantamax forms will also be included in Max Battle Day's Raid Battles.
Max Battle Day Event Bonuses
During Max Battle Day, players will be able to collect Max Particles up to a limit of 1,600 and receive a higher frequency of Power Spots containing Max Raids.
Players can earn 8 times their normal amount of Max Particles from Power Spots while participating in the event, in addition to making three special trades throughout the event. Players will also be able to receive two Max Particles for every one-quarter of a normal travel distance required to earn, and therefore provide another method of obtaining Max Particles.
Purchasing an event ticket priced at $4.99 will allow players to unlock additional bonuses, including a new exclusive Timed Research assignment that will grant 1 Max Mushroom, 25,000 XP, and 6,400 Max Particles to the participant. The Max Mushroom item is extremely valuable, as when used during Max Battle, they double the damage dealt by both Gigantamax Pokémon and Dynamax Pokémon for the duration of the battle. Using multiple Max Mushrooms will extend the time duration effect; however, it will not increase their damage multiplier.
