Pokémon GO Teases Tinkatink for April Community Day

The next Community Day for Pokémon GO has been teased, indicating that the featured character could allegedly be Tinkatink, a Gen 9 hammer-wielding Pokémon, for Community Day in April 2026, based on a teaser shared on the game's social media showing a cave full of glowing gemstones.

On April 11, Pokémon GO will have a Community Day, in addition to March 2023's Scorbunny Community Day held recently, and Community Days have been a standard monthly event since the game's creation.

Expectations for Players
Community Days have been part of the Pokémon GO event schedule since the beginning of the game, and are generally based on a single Pokémon, with the focus Pokémon's spawn rate in the wild multiplied many times over. Many players also had the opportunity to catch a Shiny version of the Community Day Pokémon.

If Tinkatink is confirmed, the spawn rate is expected to be extremely high with about a 1 in 25 chance of finding a Shiny Tinkatink. When players evolve Tinkatink during a Community Day, players typically will get the exclusive Charge Attack for Tinkatink, which is commonly one of Tinkatink's best competitive moves.

Additional bonuses during Community Day include extra Stardust, exponential Catch XP, and special research tasks during the event.

Before the April Community Day, players will have some opportunities to catch new Pokémon due to Spotlight Hours returning from March 31 to April 6, and during this time, there will be different Electric-type Pokémon spawning.

Furthermore, Gigantamax Pikachu will be introduced during the last weekend of March, providing trainers with another special event.

Looking Forward to the 10th Anniversary of Pokémon GO
With the approaching 10-year anniversary of Pokémon GO in July, there are updates that will be made available at that point, so the game's product leadership has stated that they will be looking at ways to make the game more accessible for both new players and veteran players, and there will likely be many large events and game play changes throughout the year as Pokémon GO nears its 10-year anniversary.
