Due to the rapid increase of AI worldwide, the global shortage of memory is causing a major impact on the tech sector around the world. Along with the ongoing hardware market issues, which will create uncertainty in the pricing/availability of the next generation Xbox, and the already announced Project Helix will be impacted by these same issues, companies have continuously raised the price of their hardware and software from the time of their initial launch.

As an example of such a situation, the Xbox Series X, after being launched, was sold at an average selling price of $650, and many people think that price is not justified. With another new console being announced, there are great concerns regarding price spikes due to the shortage of memory being experienced right now throughout the world.

Mr. Sharma has stated that Project Helix will experience marketplace pressure from the global memory shortage, and the prices of memory will be a major factor in determining the final price of Project Helix and the supply available for launch.
Nonetheless, the focus at this time is to build a great product that will be able to play video games on computers; as such, price, supply, and launch timing issues will be secondary to building a great product and developing an area of great demand for that product.

There is no date for the launch of Project Helix; however, many believe it may launch late in 2023 or early in 2024. Many fans are hoping that the marketplace stabilizes prior to Microsoft's launch of the next-generation Xbox console.
